More Than Your Average Thrift Store
At WaterLife Thrift Store, you can expect to find a spacious store with well-organized merchandise and friendly, helpful staff – making your visit an exciting shopping experience rather than an exhausting one. On any given day you’ll find clothing for all ages, fashion accessories, shoes, home décor, household items, small kitchen appliances, pots and pans, art, music, books and games. Donations are provided from our generous Outer Banks community.

This thrift store supports our local WaterLife Pregnancy Care Center, which offers free and confidential pregnancy services and support for all women and men facing an unexpected pregnancy, with no need to be on Medicaid. Services include no-cost ultrasounds, pregnancy testing and abortion information as well as free prenatal and parenting classes. Learn more.
Clothing & Accessories
We carry clothing and fashion accessories for everyone – men, women and children. Pants, dresses, shirts, socks, shoes, belts, purses – you name it! Many of our generous donors provide us with like new or gently used name brand items.
Home Goods
In our thrift store, you’ll find everything from home décor and small home furnishings to pots, pans and dishes and small household appliances. Need kitchen items for your vacation rental or second home? We probably have it!
Books, Movies, etc.
We all need something to do on rainy days. Find new-to-you books, movies or games to play with your family or friends. We always have a large selection to choose from in our thrift store.
We’re located right beside Taco Bell / KFC and across the street from Holy Trinity By the Sea in the Whalebone Junction area.

We are one of more than 15 local thrift stores found on a 16 mile stretch of land called the “Northern Beaches” of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. There are so many wonderful thrift stores on the Outer Banks, making it a great OBX vacation activity to treasure hunt for mementos and souvenirs. Take a day to visit them all!
